The Carrollton Room

French doors open to this charming mid-sized room which recaptures the gardens of the neighborhood with its floral and chintz décor. The ceiling fan over the queen bed will remind you of the soft breezes off the Mississippi River just blocks from the mansion. A chintz wingchair, mahogany gentleman's armoire and dressing bureau complete the room's furnishings. The large and airy bathroom with corner shower once was one of the home's second floor porches. With high ceilings, exposed brick and a second floor 'door to nowhere', the room overlooks a small grove of trees filled with woodpeckers and songbirds. The Carrollton is a colorful and comfortable room.
