This well-appointed room is on the second floor on the west side of the mansion and overlooks Fourth Street. Spirits rising from Lafayette Cemetery of Anne Rice fame are visible from the room. The Prytania strikes the ideal balance between stately and comfortable furnishings. With a 4-poster queen rice carved bed and green damask sleeper sofa, and full closet the room can accommodate up to four people. The dresser serves as a writing desk creating a place to work in style. The blue tiled fireplace and mahogany armoire complete the room's furnishing. The bathroom is large with cypress paneling and ample-sized vanity. The Prytania has beautiful afternoon light creating a wonderful environment in which to refuel after antique browsing on Magazine Street.
